Exeter Golf Club invited Devon Golf Captains to organise a one off competition, to celebrate the much changed golf course and its new holes. The day was well supported with 28 teams entering, the weather could not have been better with hot sunshine and fast running fairways. Virtually to a man, everyone who played were tremendously impressed with the new layout, particularly the superb quality of the contractor’s work. It’s hard to believe that the entire operation has been completed in just over 12 months, the new greens were as if they had been there for years. For those yet to play the new course I can thoroughly recommend a visit, I don’t believe you will be disappointed, I also played in the County Card holders competition on the Wednesday and the same comments were general.
