
The first match of the new season saw 31 intrepid captains travelling to Exminster golf Center.
At Captain grahams home club ,for the Captain V Vice captains match.
Captain Andy Carr the present Captain of Exminster welcomed everyone to the club .
This was the first time a Devon golf captains match has been played at Exminster with several members Playing there for the first time .while Exminster is a nine hole course playing off the white tees there are eighteen different tees.
Everyone enjoyed the course ,which was in great condition with good and fast running greens .
Having played we then retired to the club house for the obligatory librations and catch up.
We then sat down for a very enjoyable meal which went down very well .
Captain graham then stood up and thanked the Candy family for the courtesy of the course and to the green staff for the presentation of the course .
And Also thanked Lucy Lacey and her staff for looking after ourselves during the day.
Vice Captain Terry then replied to the captains speech, then received the trophy from graham after winning the match 5-3 .
One note of importance David Wonnacott from libbaton managed to let his trolly and clubs wonder
Off into the pond at the fourth hole rumour has it he is now taking bookings for his new club cleaning Service ?
