The Green Army on tour Stage two of the tour was realised with a leisurely journey from The Premier Inn, with "The Anthem of the Seas" moored nearby, to the prestigious Stoneham Golf Club. We were joined by our generous hosts who provided an excellent and welcome breakfast, this rather nice touch has now become a tradition in this match. Stoneham is in the top 100 courses in England and much benefit is possible if previous play has been experienced. Unfortunately once again course maintenance had been carried out recently and the greens evidenced same. Devon Golf Captains v Sussex Golf Captains
The Captains Roger and David The biennial tour to Sussex and Hampshire began this year at Brighton, a long hike for many of us senior citizens. The town enjoys a panoply of reasons and reputations to lure the many visitors, amongst many the Pavilion, "Lanes", racecourse and its rainbow population and celebrated visitor attractions including Gaypride events and festivals. The Green Army were however there for serious business, to reverse the home defeat suffered last year at Dartmouth GC.
