Taunton Vale was, to many of the Devon team, an unknown quantity and therefore very welcome as a new experience. Although the golf course may not be as familiar as other courses in the County it proved to be well received. The fairly unremarkable land had obviously been creatively designed to provide features which a number of holes demanded quality golf shots and were also pleasing to the eye.
