Captains is one of the longer one day matches and all us passengers are grateful to our drivers for their sterling efforts, many thanks. Once again our Captain provided terrific weather for the day and no reported sighting of Dr Foster or any puddles. Indeed the "Grand Old Duke of York" would be rather more appropriate to visit the golf course, the terrain requires careful placement of golf shots, stamina and a healthy regard for heights. DOWNES CREDITON GOLF CLUB 15th AUGUST 2013 Match Result DGCs 6 - DLGCs 2 This popular fixture, for many of us, was this year hosted by the ladies at Downes Crediton. "Curtain" as it is known locally is always known for it's friendly atmosphere, good food and its idiosyncratic course designed within its 90 acres. The full course is relatively new in Devon golf opening in 1976.
